Survey: "2012 Harvard Men’s Soccer Player" This Halloween's Scariest Costume

"AHHH! Oh, there are no soccer players around? Holy shit that was close," said Walsh.

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- A recent poll conducted by The Crimson shows that the creepiest Halloween costume this year according to students is a "Member of the 2012 Harvard Men’s Soccer Team."

Beating out the usual seasonal contenders of “Witch” and “Ghoul,” widespread horror at the 2012 Harvard Men’s Soccer Team in response to a sexually explicit “scouting report” on female recruits launched the costume to the top of The Crimson’s annual list. More than 70 percent of survey respondents said that they would be most likely to avoid anyone dressed as a forward, midfielder, defender, or goalkeeper from the 2012-2013 season.

“I thought to myself, which of the following would I be most scared of in the dead of night on Halloween: a werewolf who wants to eat me, a vampire who wants to suck my blood, or an 18-22 year old boy who for some reason felt compelled to methodically write out nine fucking pages evaluating the attractiveness of girls who just graduated high school? The answer was pretty clear,” said survey respondent Louise M. Walsh ‘18.

When questioned regarding the results of the survey, area witch Abigail Putnam said, “You win some, you lose some. I guess even black magic and evil potions can’t beat out institutionalized misogyny sometimes.”

In a recent statement, HUPD officers have expressed concern that students dressing as 2012 Men's Soccer Players would exhaust already limited resources for dealing with creepy clowns walking around college campuses.
